Astro stars and butterflies

I have caught 34 stupid butterflies and everytime I go to the prof he just tells me I am bugging him. How do I get him to take them? Also I have collected more then100 stars what do I do with those?

i am having the same problem. Everytime I go up to the professor, he tells me I am bothering him. How do I give them to him??

Some people have been able to give the professor the butterflies but I have been unsuccessful using the methods they mentioned. Also with the starfish, no matter how many times I've talked to her she never takes them. I have collected over 60 butterflies and over 400 stars. I can't get them to give me any quests either, even though I talk to every local every day. Seriously annoying, I've been playing 60 days and nothing to show for it..

If youre refering to the yellow stars you shake off the bushes, or the blue star on the pink tree I dug a hole and planted mine, and got another bush or tree. Same with the packet of seeds that 'grew' on the big tree. Or you can always sell them if your ranch is becoming a forest.
