Metal detector

How do i get it. I know i have to speek whit prof but he never gives it to me =(

One of my games he gave it to me right away, in another game I didn't get it until many days in. It could possibly be a seasonal quest with him, that if you miss you need to wait until the next year.

I couldn't find any rhyme or reason to it, but eventually the wierdo just gives it to ya...just keep talking to everyone and if they keep saying the same thing just keep tapping through the same conversation till you get to something new...you'll get it! And you'll eventually get the magnifying glass from the sheriff also! yeehaw! LOL
