Fish-stration

I cant catch a cotton pickin' fish ... i can get the line into the water, i can shake to get the fish, i can even start to reel the booger in, however, i lose the fish everytime either by reeling to hard or not fast enough

I too am having this problem.

I can't fish in real life either.

Any hints and tips out there?

I had a ton of trouble until I figured it out. What I do is I reel it in fast, until just about when the fish meter is all the way red, then I let it go ALL the way down the green, then quickly reel in again, and repeat. usually reel them in in 3 or 4 cycles, and never lose them.

That's on the iPad at least.

on the iPhone, I can't seem to cast a line at ALL!
I throw in my line, my guy looks like he's holding a pole, but I do not see the lure in the water, and the fish never seem to bite anything. If I tap my guy, the pole disappears. Not sure what's going on there...
