mini games not working

none of the mini games seem to be active, other than I can start them but cannot finish them. For example, i cant give the sheriff the "clues" about the crime even though i've had the magnifying glass for ages, i never get asked to pay taxes, but the mayor keeps talking about them. The rocket is completly inactive, I cant fish, or pan for gold. All i can do is farm. I really wish these things would be fixed, and add the possibility to visit other towns, and communities within the game, like as in animal crossing. I was really hoping for much more from astro ranch and have been waiting a long time for a game like this for the iphone format, but as of right now am dissapointed with the limitations.
